Week #16 525,600 Minutes

2017 started off decent. I was in the middle basketball season. The only highlight of that was that I made the most 3 pointers of my team in the 3 point contest and I also screened a girl and she ended up on the ground. The softball season came around and I made all conference for that. On spring break, I went to Gulf Shores with Alexa and that was one of the best vacations. I hadn't been to the ocean since I was 8 before that. Another thing that happened was I started dating Andrew. And prom was amazing. In April, I got lifeguard certified and CPR and AED certified which is something that took a lot of learning with a bunch of strangers for a whole week. I started working as a lifeguard at Lake Wildwood during summer and that was one of my most favorite parts of 2017. I enjoyed sitting in the sun everyday getting a nice tan. I made some news friends and I really liked my boss and coworkers. During the summer I was very busy. Andrew was at basic in South Carolina and I wrote him every day. I worked up at Half Moon at the concessions almost every night. And I also babysat all day every Tuesday and Friday. So I spent pretty much every minute of my summer working, but I really enjoyed it. I was able to go tubing a few times and skiing of course. After summer, volleyball started and it was a pretty sappy season. Senior year had started. It is still weird to think I am a senior. Volleyball season was actually very fun and  I really enjoyed it. My hitting had improved drastically and I was killing the ball consistently. I also made first team all conference! Then volleyball ended and that was disappointing because I don't want to play in college. Basketball started and I enjoy basketball just not as much as volleyball. Then in November, the best experience in my life happened. I went on a Disney cruise! It didn't start off great. At the Orlando airport we were evacuated in a rush and it was the craziest thing I have experienced. A camera blew up in a backpack and the TSA agents thought it was a bomb because the backpack was smoking so we were evacuated in a mad rush and weren't allowed to go back in until it was all cleared by dogs. Planes were rerouted and everybody had to be rescreened. Then the next day, my cruise started! I loved every minute of it. The open sea was amazing We went to Mexico, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, and to Disney's private island in the Bahamas. I went shopping, on a semi-submarine, snorkeling, swimming, climbed the Dunn's River Falls, and I swam with dolphins. The cruise ship was HUGE. There were two theaters, seven restaurants, a jogging course, a teen club, two adult clubs, four pools, a spa, a basketball court, mini golf and there was a lot more. I will never forget it and it was the best experience of my life. Overall, 2107 has been the best year I have had so far!

Week #20 Family in a Nutshell

Everybody in my family loves animals. We have three dogs, one of which is white with yellow spots. We also have two cats, three horses, 3 rabbits, and two fish. When I was little and I lived in town, we had all sorts of animals. We had a rat, hermit crabs, cats, dogs, rabbits, and fish. All I really like are the dogs and horses. Kassidy and my mom are the most sensitive animal lovers, and Kendall and my dad don't really get attached  to animals. My family really enjoys the outdoors. In the summer we always go swimming and skiing, and tubing. We spend most of our time outside. My family also goes to Lake Wildwood at least twice a week in the summer. In the winter, we spend a lot of time outside if it snows. This represents my family because my dad is a semi-driver. He is gone for a week or two and then he is home for a few days. We don't get to spend a lot of time with my dad and we don't talk to him very much since he is pretty much always gone. This...

Week #22 All You Need is Love

One love song that I used to listen to over and over because it was associated with a huge crush of mine when I was younger is A thousand years by Christina Perri. I used to listen to it multiple times a day for a long time. I never really got tired of it, but now when I hear it I just laugh because it reminds me of that crush all over again. Now I definitely don't have that crush but I do still associate the song with them. As for a favorite love song, I don't really have one and that is probably because most of them are kind of annoying and I also don't really listen to music. There isn't really a love song I absolutely hate, but a few of them I don't like and I get annoyed when I hear them.

Week #14 Turn and Face the Strange Changes

Well since the beginning of high school I would say I have had a few changes but probably not a bunch of drastic changes. I feel like I have opened up a little bit since the beginning of high school. I used to be extremely quiet, but now I am a little more talkative but I am still a little quiet. I have improved in sports which is probably a good change. One bad change is that I have gained some weight in high school, but at least it hasn't been a bunch. One thing I am really happy about is that I changed what career I want to go into. I used to want to be a lawyer, but then after I was exposed to the medical field more and more, I changed my career choice to wanting to become a lawyer. I am changed friends a couple of times and one of them was definitely a good change, but I guess I still miss some of them. My grades aren't as good as they were when I started high school. I have started slacking more and more as time has gone by so that is probably not a good change, but at le...
